Tennis at Royal Oaks

Surrounding a regulation Croquet Lawn, the Tennis Facility at Royal Oaks features seven lighted tennis courts and four shared pickleball courts. Five hard courts including a Stadium Court done in the U.S. Open blue and green color scheme and two Hydro Grid clay courts, all built independently, to give you the feel of playing on your own private court. In the Tennis Facility, Members have complimentary access to training tools such as a state-of-the-art Playmate ball machine and a Sportwall. 

Royal Oaks Country Club’s Tennis programming for Men, Women and Children includes weekly Adult Clinics, the Junior Tennis Academy, the Junior Summer Tennis & Sports Camp and a wide array of Social Events/Tournaments for tennis, pickleball and croquet throughout the year.

Our tennis staff includes full-time USPTA Elite Professional teaching pros. The “Elite Professional” level is the highest rating a teaching professional can obtain. Our teaching pros are available year-round for private and group instruction.   

Additional Offerings

Racket Stringing – The Royal Oaks Tennis department is happy to offer racket stringing services. We have a variety of string available and a quick 24-hour or less turnaround. Please contact one of the Tennis Pros for more information.

Ball Machines – We have two Apple and Android compatible Ball Machines. You can control the machine with your phone. You may always use the baskets of balls that we use for teaching but we ask that you pick up all the balls and put the equipment away in the shed at the end of use.  

Tennis Policies

  • If the Member(s) No Shows or No Contacts about their court reservation, a $20 split between all members on the court reservation is billed.
  • If a Member(s) has a PM court (noon or later) reservation, they have until 11:59am that day to cancel their PM court for no charge. If you cancel after noon, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • If a Member(s) has an AM court reservation, they have until 7:00am that day to cancel their AM court for no charge. If you cancel after 7:00am, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • Each violation comes with a warning and is at the discretion of the Director of Tennis.
  • If a Member(s) No Show or No Contacts, they are charged 100% of the lesson fee.
  • If a Member(s) has a PM lesson (noon or later), they have until 11:59am that day to cancel their PM lesson for no charge. If you cancel after noon, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • If a Member(s) has an AM lesson, they have until 7:00am that day to cancel their AM lesson for no charge. If you cancel after 7:00am, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • Each violation comes with a warning and is at the discretion of the Director of Tennis.

Court reservations may be 14 days in advance by phone at 281-899-3250, by visiting the Sports Club front desk or by using the ROCC App!
