Our tennis staff includes full-time USPTA Elite Professional teaching pros. The “Elite Professional” level is the highest rating a teaching professional can obtain. Our teaching pros are available year-round for private and group instruction. Here are Royal Oaks Country Club we have Men's, Ladies, Singles and Doubles tournaments, leagues and clinics offered throughout the year for all ages and skill levels.

Tennis Director
Peter Farrell, USPTA Cert. Pro
Originally from Liverpool, England, he made his way to Houston and played tennis at the University of Houston as well as a short stint on the professional tour in the early 1980's. In 1992 at Willow Fork Country Club he grew their tennis program to monumental heights. Peter developed one of the best tennis programs in the Houston area, having produced numerous state and nationally ranked juniors, many going on to receive full scholarships at major colleges. His adult teams and league growth has sustained success year over year and often win their league's championship. Peter was the USTA W.T. Caswell Service Award winner, given for his valuable volunteer contributions to the growth and development of tennis in Texas. Outside of directing one of Houston’s vibrant tennis programs, Peter also directed and led summer camp which comprised over 300 campers. He resides in Katy with his wife Beverly and their dogs. His daughter Kendall lives in London, England and his son Ian lives in Houston.

Antoine Ford, USPTA Cert. Pro
Antoine Ford born and raised in Houston. As a junior, Antoine has been ranked in the Top 25 in Texas Super Champs 16’s Division, ranked in the Top 300 in the nation, and with his success continued in Super 18’s, as he finished with a Top 30 ranking in the state of Texas. Since then, Antoine has been playing in ITF Futures tournaments and other statewide tournaments as he has been ranked Top 10 in the Men’s Open Division in Texas and taken 3 USTA 5.0 league teams to Nationals, with one of those teams winning Nationals. Antoine has also had the opportunity to coach a former Top 50 WTA player with a win over Maria Sharapova at the first round of the 2006 French Open and Elena Dementieva at the 2005 third round of Wimbledon. During that time, he was featured on the Tennis Channel in the instructional series, where Antoine was one of the hitting demonstrators on the video.
